how do i properly clean my new carbon fiber hood and preserve it longer?
I just put on my carbon fiber hood on my 05 Celica and now im worried because i’ve seen too many cars with their carbon fiber hoods either discolored or faded. Is there a product to help clean it or help maintain it longer. Im going to the car wash this weekend and wash my car by hand all the time, then dry it and detail it as much as possible. Please let me know how to take care of my hood and soon to install my carbon fiber spoiler.
I just put my CF hood on last week. I love the way they look. But since carbon fiber hoods are still covered in clear coat just like most cars are, it would be best to just wash and wax it like a normal car. The problem is that with carbon fiber if you don’t wax it at all the sun will just destroy it, and most of the cars you see around town w/ CF probably aren’t taken care of at all.
